How Did The Beatles Meet?
When and where did The Beatles start?
The Beatles were a rock band. The people in the band were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
On July 6, 1957, John Lennon, who was 16-years-old, played with his band The Quarrymen at a church garden party in Liverpool. Paul McCartney, who was 15-years-old, watched the band play.
Later, Paul played a song. John liked it and he asked Paul to join The Quarrymen. Paul then brought his friend George Harrison to meet the band. John said that George should also join the band.
In 1960, the boys changed the name of their band from The Quarrymen to The Beatles. The Beatles played at some bars in Hamburg in Germany. They also played in The Cavern Club in Liverpool. After that, they worked with record producer George Martin and recorded some songs in a studio in London. Later, Ringo Starr joined the band.
The Beatles became very famous and were together for eight years.
